“Eagle of the Ninth” and “Jane Eyre” Release Dates

With thanks to Sheeda for linking me with this information, it appears Eagle of the Ninth and Jane Eyre, which Jamie stars in, will be released in 2011!

Focus Features Sets Release Dates for 2011

Focus Features has announced the release dates for its 2011 films. The Eagle of the Ninth has been pushed back from September 24th to February 25, 2011. The film is a Roman epic adventure directed by Kevin Macdonald and starring Channing Tatum of Jamie Bell. Jane Eyre, directed by Cary Fukunaga, has landed the date of March 11, 2011.

More recent news of Mr Bell have been rare as of late, but Philip has linked me to an article which I haven’t seen yet! It’s from last year during the Defiance promotion period and is accompanied with a photo that may interest the fans.

It’s nine years since Billy Elliott. Are you getting £1 million a movie yet?
Maybe. But I can’t discuss my salary with you!

We’re writing down ‘yes’. What’s the biggest paycheque you’ve ever had?
They’re all different. And let me tell you, playing a perverted kid who wants to have sex with his mother in Hallam Foe doesn’t pay.

You should have said you get £5 million per film to set a marker for future work.
Like I’m Shia LaBeouf? I’m afraid he’s in a league of his own.

But isn’t he only doing so well because he’s mates with Steven Spielberg?
Well, that is useful. But one can’t deny he’s good at commanding audiences in big movies.
