NYMag.com’s Interview with Jamie

February 10th, 2011 • By Tran :: E-Articles, Jamie

Hello visitors,

Here is another great interview, but this time Jamie is interviewed by NYMag!

The Eagle’s Jamie Bell on Tintin, Scary Horses, and Almost Landing Spider-Man

Jamie Bell hasn’t been seen in a movie since 2008, but he’s about to make up for that with a vengeance. This Friday, he stars in Kevin Macdonald’s The Eagle, where he plays a second century slave accompanying his Roman master (Channing Tatum) on an adventure into the Scottish highlands, and he’ll then appear in Jane Eyre, the thriller Retreat, and Steven Spielberg’s highly anticipated The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn, where he plays the beloved comic-strip character via motion capture. All this, and he just wrapped the Sam Worthington drama Man on a Ledge, too. “I know, it’s too much,” he laughed during a sit-down with Vulture, where he discussed the hardship of making ‘The Eagle’, Spielberg’s foray into new technology, and the recent British superhero boom.

Collider’s exclusive interview with Jamie Bell

February 9th, 2011 • By Tran :: Jamie, Videos

Hello everyone,

Jamie recently sat down with Collider for an interview and discussed his upcoming productions including Tintin, Jane Eyre, and of course, The Eagle.

A few days ago I sat down with Jamie Bell for an extended video interview as he was in Los Angeles promoting The Eagle (synopsis and clips here). While I’ll have the full interview online in the next day or so, during the second half of our conversation, we discussed what it was like to make The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn for Peter Jackson and Steve Spielberg. We also talked about the challenges of motion capture, what it was like to work with Andy Serkis (says Serkis “is the Gandalf of motion capture”), when does he think they might film Tintin 2 as Jackson is now on The Hobbit, and Bell also discusses his work in Jane Eyre, Man on a Ledge, and is he excited to promote Tintin all around the world at the end of the year. Hit the jump to watch what he said:

Again, look for the full interview soon. And a big thank you to Jamie Bell for giving me so much time.

Click here for the video of the interview. Unfortunately and annoyingly, embedding anything from Collider screws up the website’s layout, haha.

PS. Big thanks to slaastandards for the link!
