Hello visitors,
Jamie has recently signed onto a new film titled Retreat, where he will star alongside Cillian Murphy and Thandie Newton:
Jamie Bell has locked in his next film, signing on to star alongside Cillian Murphy and Thandie Newton in Retreat.
Writer Carl Tibbets is hoisting the megaphone as a first-time director for the movie, which sees a couple (Murphy and Newton) trying to solve their marriage woes by heading to a remote island.
Trouble washes up in the form of a soldier (Bell), who arrives on the beach wearing a biohazard suit and carrying a dire warning about an airborne virus that has wiped out most of Europe and, possibly, the world. The twist, however, is they only have his word on the matter and it’s the start of a weird psychological drama between the three.

Hello everyone,
Thanks to Phil for keeping me updated on this! Apparently, Jame has been recently cast in a new film, based on a novel of the same title, The Eagle of the Ninth.
Kevin Macdonald, director of the upcoming political thriller State of Play, will next helm the Roman military drama The Eagle of the Ninth. Jamie Bell is set to star in the 2nd century A.D. tale, and Channing Tatum is in talks to join him.
The story revolves around a wounded Roman soldier and his loyal Celtic slave who try to solve the mystery of the Ninth Legion, a brigade of Roman soldiers that vanished after heading into the untamed Highlands of Scotland 15 years earlier.
Bell is set to play the slave, while Tatum has been offered the lead. Hungarian locations will stand in for 2nd century England, while the Scottish scenes will be filmed in Scotland.
The script was written by Jeremy Brock, who teamed with Macdonald on The Last King of Scotland. Duncan Kenworthy (Love Actually) is producing through his Toledo Productions Banner.
Happy Birthday, best of luck with everything you do!
PS. I wish I was more prepared for this, I almost forgot! Haha!
